Our Aims are to Promote and Support Families

We meet on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm in the Parish hall (except August) and our meetings vary from light hearted quizzes, games and craft evenings to more serious topics such as homelessness and child parenting problems. Our light hearted evenings usually end up with us crying with laughter whilst at the serious ones we often shed tears of despair when we hear about families who do not have stable home lives. We try and support the Mothers Union aims by being involved in Church life with the families of baptised children or the bereaved by sending cards.
We also support the vision of Mary Sumner (the founder of the Mothers Union) by trying to spread love, kindness, and understanding to families.

Denton Churches Together
Denton Churches Together is a group made up of representatives from most of the churches in the Denton area. The group has members from the Church of England, Catholic Church, Methodist Church and United Reformed Church and meetings are attended by the Clergy and the representatives from each church.
One of the purposes for Denton Churches Together (DCT) is to provide shared faith events across denominations and joint services are arranged for Christmas and Easter time. In recent years DCT has also run a series of Lent Study groups in the weeks leading up to Easter.
The group also share social activities across the churches.
